“Fine Wine, No Attitude!”
Started in 2012, African Wine Traders was the product of many late nights of wine drinking that launched an idea that Kampala might be ready to support a wine merchant that indulged in his love for all things vinous.
Scouring the world for wine, that is then tasted, retasted, debated and then finally retasted… we make it our aim to find wine that showcases the talent, commitment, skill and most importantly the terroir of the growers and winemakers.
We love wine, in fact rarely eat food without wine and hopefully know enough about wine to make wine a little less daunting for everyone.
Our Wine Selection is constantly changing as we find new wines from around the world. We offer our version of the well-stocked wine closet: daily quaffers, quirky finds, and higher end treasures.
In 2014, on the well known fact that we love food as much as we love wine, we decided that great wine needs great food and started scouring around again for quality products.
This led to the opening of The Pantry in Kisimenti, Kampala in May 2016 and The Pantry at Quality Hill Boutique Mall on Gaba Road, Kampala – where we have shelves and shelves of a wide selection of Wine – a lot more than we have on this site!!! – and a great selection of Deli Products and Cheese!
